Kyoung-Jin Moon, Senior Partner

   Dr. Moon holds a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, and completed the Master's Program of Science in Electrical Engineering and completed the Master's Program of Science in Electrical Engineering at Soong-Sil Industry Graduate School, a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology, a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Seoul National University. He is a registered Patent Attorney since 1983.

   He also has served as a former Primary Patent Examiner at the Korea Industrial Property Office, a Research Assistant at the Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department of North Carolina State University, a Trainee at WIPO and the German Patent Office, and also as partner of Central International Law Firm. Dr. Moon is fluent in English and Japanese and is a member of KPAA (Korea Patent Attorneys' Association), AIPPI & INTA.

Hak-Soo Kim, Partner

Mr. Kim is a graduate of the College of Science and Engineering of Korea University (Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry) and attended the Patent Academy Training Course of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Kim's work experience includes service in the Central Research Institute of the Office of Monopoly of Korea, the Petrochemical Section of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, Assistant Appellate Trial examiner of the Appellate Trial Board of the Korea Industrial Property Office, a Patent Trial Examiner of the Appellate Trial Board of the Korea

Industrial Property Office, Patent Examiner of the Organic Chemistry Section of KIPO, and as a Patent Attorney with the law office of Shin & Kim. 
   His experience covers all phases of patent, design, trademark, and related intellectual property law, including proceedings before the KIPO and the Supreme Court.  He is also a member of KPAA, AIPPI & APAA.

Moon-Hwan Ahn, Partner

   Mr. Ahn graduated in the Commercial Science from Kunkook University through the Korean Foreign University.
   He has served as a a former judge of the Trial Board for 10 years, a director of the Intellectual Property Documents Section, and a director in Legal Affairs Team in the Korea Industrial Property Office(KIPO) for 10 years, and a director in the Ministry of Trade and Industry for 7 years,

he is an expert in the intellectual property matters in Korea, and in more specifically in practical trademark and design prosecutions, and the trials, appellate trials and infringement coverage.  He is also a member of KPAA

Tae-Choung Hwang, Partner

Mr. Hwang holds a Master's Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Graduate School of Industry, Yonsei University and a Bachelor's Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Korea National Maritime University.

He served as a government official for the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Energy (1963-1970) and an Examiner in charge of mechanical engineering at Board of  Examination of the Korean Industrial Property (KIPO) (1970-1977). He has also served as a Judge in Board of Trial and Board of Appellate Trial, under KIPO for more than ten years (1977-1988) and then, as a Director in charge of Board of Examination II (1988-1991).

   For six years from 1991 to 1997, he was the vice president of Korea Mechanical Engineering Promotion Association. Just before joining DeRyook International Patent & Law Firm, he was a partner of NAM & NAM.

   He has accumulated experiences in handling patent applications and trials in the field of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, more specifically, factory automation, robotics, metallurgy and laser physics. He is a member of KPAA.

Kang-nyoung Lee, Patent Attorney

   Mr. Lee holds a Master's Engineering Degree in computer engineering from Seoul National University and a Bachelor's Engineering Degree in computer engineering from Pusan National University. He has worked as a System Engineer at Samsung Electronc Corp. and Korea Technonia Inc. for ten years. He possesses accurate analytical views in solving problems in the prosecution of electronic engineering-related patent applications.

Chang-Sup SIM, Patent Attorney

Hyun-Seok CHO, Associated Patent Attorney

   Mr. Cho holds a Master's Law Degree and a Bachelor's Electronic Engineering Degree in Electronic engineering from Kookmin University, their publishing his thesis on "Conflicts and their Countermeasures on IPR", and is the Top Scorer of the Government Technical Examination in Electronics, and conducted over eighty seminars about patent conflict cases and their countermeasures in major Korean companies including Samsung, LG, Hyundai.

He also wrote a book "Patent Conflicts and its Countermeasures" (1982).  In addition, some of his papers include "Patent Wars and How the Company Survives";

Rhak-jun Sung, Associated Patent Attorney

   Mr. Sung holds a Bachelor's Engineering Degree in metal engineering from Seoul National University.
   He served as a government official in the metal Section of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, Encyclopaedia Britannica and an Examiner in charge of mechanical engineering at Board of Examination of the Korean Industrial Property (KIPO).
